Admitted 12 Aust General Hospital (pneumonia) 1 April - 10 May 1942.
Disembarked in Melbourne on leave -4 August 1942
Rejoined unit 29 November 1942. First treatment for Malaria 13 December 1942 Promoted Corporal. Embarked Cairns for New Guinea 8 January 1943

Was discharged from the Army 9 January 1944
