We match as follows. I think it is the Coleman line. Yours is John Coleman Sr, 1730-1804 in Hunterdon, New Jersey, US. Mine is Elizabeth Coleman 1784-1870, from New Jersey to Michigan. She is my MT line, brick wall. I haven't found the exact connection but am glad to find a DNA clue.Ellen Largest segment = 7.7 cM. I believe we are ~ firth cousins.

Where did you find the match? I'm on a few genealogy websites, like Ancestry, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, and Gedmatch, but I can't find a match with you. I'd like to explore it further, and maybe look at DNA Chromosome segments and do some triangulation, if possible. Thanks, Robert
A couple of things to keep in mind:
- categories go at the top of the profile, not the bottom, and
- there is an 1880 census category for all North Carolina counties, so I've begun adding to many of your profiles.
- Last (but not least) please remove the USBH "needs sources" category once you've added all available sources (more than two).
Thank you for all you do, and particularly those prolific Alstons! ~Lo USBH North Carolina team lead

It is a sub project of the United Kingdom project at present.
Hope this helps, it has not been assigned to the pre-1700 projects.
Have fun Janet
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz
Because Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within a project coordinating them is essential. Please ensure location data matches dates of profile, avoid abbreviations, add sources with citations & links for sources to support the data. From wiki ID go to Research to find sources
The United States Project would be of interest. Adding the tag UNITED_STATES will connect you
Explore Pre-1700 Projects list to find one that fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic please read the goals & tasks of the project
