Elizabeth Foote was born in Shalford in 1579, where her parents Robert Foote and Joan Brooke had relocated from London in the late 1570s in order to follow one of the greatest reformist preachers of the 1570-1620 period in England, Rev. Richard Rogers [Rogers-1611].
Elizabeth's will, cited in full below, mentions her brother Daniel Foote (born 1590) and the widow of "my deceased brother Joshuah Foote", but not her brother Nathaniel Foote of Wethersfield, Connecticut Colony (born 1593, died 1644) since he had migrated to Boston in 1634 and then to Wethersfield, Connecticut Colony.
