Biography

Roxanna was born 10 January 1775 at New Haven, Connecticut, the daughter of Eli Foote and Roxana Ward.^[1]

She married Rev. Lyman Beecher 19 September 1799 at New Haven, Connecticut.^[2] They were the parents of Catherine Esther Beecher; Rev. William Henry Beecher; Rev. Edward Beecher; Mary Foote Beecher; Rev. George Beecher; Harriet Beecher Stowe; Rev. Henry Ward Beecher; and Charles Beecher.

Roxanna died 23 September 1817 at Litchfield, Connecticut at the age of 41. She was buried at the Foote-Ward Cemetery at Guilford, New Haven, Connecticut.^[3]
