I found a 1909 death notice in a newspaper for a James H Foote, age 84, dying in Wilkes County, North Carolina. No other genealogical data is in the notice.
While I think it is improbable that the notice applies this James Foote, based on his father's birth location, I wanted to drop the link here just in case.
