Erected by Isabella Spence in memory of her husband Alexander Forbes d. Midmar 16 July 1840 aged 58. He was merchant in the Village of Monymusk for 20 years. Their children viz: - Isabella wife of Joseph Walker contractor d. Midmar 12 Sept. 1852 aged 28, Mary d. Midmar 27 Mar. 1855 aged 21, Alexander d. Midmar 6 Apr. 1856 aged 33. Said Isabella Spence d. Aberdeen 1 Aug. 1878 aged 80. 1 line motto.
