Frederick was born in 1881. He was the son of John Forde and Elizabeth Knowles. The 1891 census shows him living at Chester, Cheshire, England.
Frederick's marriage to Muriel Smith was registered in the Chelsea district of London in the fourth quarter of 1909.[1]
In 1912 Henry Briscoe Ironside, clerk, pleaded guilty to obtaining from him bills of exchange totalling £445 by false pretences.[2]
He served in the Royal Leicestershire Regiment in India, Egypt and France, holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel during World War One. He was invalided out of the army after the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
The 1939 UK Register lists him at Bournemouth, Hampshire, date of birth 27 March 1881, with his wife Alice M B Ford, date of birth 8 April 1884.[3]
Frederick's death was registered in the Bournemouth district of Hampshire in the fourth quarter of 1971.[4]
