Notes

Roy was said to be 1/2 Cherokee, but it is unproven. If asked about his middle initial, he would reply that it just stood for "B". If asked about his missin g leg, you'd get a story about his WWII Naval flight experiences. I think he actually lost itdue to blood clots, and lost the other leg a few years before his death as well. It always amazed me how well he could walk around, with one or no legs. Also, see 1930 census documents under Reece.
