Samuel was born in 1886. He was the son of Joseph Ford and Jane Spalding. He passed away in 1913.

Sheet 8B of the census shows Jennie Ford (45) as a widow living with her children Edna (22). Brady (19), Emitt (15) and Leola (8). Jennie shows she was married for 21 years and that 7 of her 8 children are still alive. All report they were born in Kentucky. The farm is owned free and clear. [1]

1910 - Kentucky, Marion County, Mag District 5, District 91, 23 Apr 1910
Sheet 7B of the census shows Emmett Ford (24), his wife Susie (21) and son Joseph (1) living on the farm. They are living on the same property with his father-in-law, Joseph Spalding (52) a widower and his children Lula (29), Stella (28), Edith (25), Cora (20) and Genie (17). The couple has been married for 2 years and has just the one child. All report they and their parents were born in Kentucky. The home is rented and he is a farm laborer. The home is located on Calvary and New Market road. [2]

1913 - Kentucky, Marion County
Samuel Emmet Ford, born 15 Jun 1886 in Kentucky died 21 Sep 1913. He was a married farmer when he died of typhoid fever. His parents are listed as Joseph Ford and Jane Spalding, both of Kentucky. He was buried at Holy Mary Cemetery. The informant was his brother, Ben Ford. [3]
