Joseph L. Ford, 67, born Sept. 5, 1924, in Marion County, died Thursday, June 11, 1992, at his home. He was a native of Marion County, a retired farmer, member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church, and an Army veteran of W.W. II. Ford was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence A. and Edna Mae Hayden Ford Sr.; one son, Buddy Ford; four brothers, Clarence, Henry, Bill, and Baby Ford; and one half-sister, Elizabeth Johnson Buckman. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Ford; two sons, Billy Ford, Campbellsville, and James Ford, Lebanon; seven daughters, Teresa Simpson, Gravel Switch, Frankee Gabehart, Campbellsville, Dorothy Brockman, Calvary, Mary Wheatley, Raywick, and Tammy Payne, Margaret Ford, and JoAnn Atwell, all of Lebanon; one brother, Thomas Ed Ford, Layton, Utah; and 16 grandchildren. The funeral was Saturday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at the St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the St. Augustine Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ivo Cecil officiated. Active pallbearers were Gary Ford, Doug Ford, Larry Ford, Buster Ford, Robert Ford, and Earl Whitlock. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Mattingly, Harry Young, Preston Luckett, Jimmy Grundy, Jessie Hourigan, and Andrew Grundy. [9]
