Ernie Ford House

The house at 1223 Anderson Street where Ernie was born was purchased by the Bristol Historical Association in the early 1990's. The Association did extensive restoration work on the house in consultation with Ernie Ford and the Tennessee Historical Restoration Department. The house is now used by the Association for various functions. The middle room has plaques from the original Country Music Foundation recognizing some early musicians from the region. The back room, where Ernie was born, is utilized as a work area and storage space for memorabilia.

More information about the purchase and renovation of the house along with the events that commemorated what would have been Ernie's 100th birthday on the Association's website here BHA - Ford House
