Marriage: 8 May 1804 Francis Ford married Olive Waymouth in Berwick, Maine. The marriage solemnized Elder Nathanial Lord.[5][6] Several of Francis' family members were married by Nathaniel Lord. They can found on consecutive pages 390 - 391: his brother Robert Ford Jr to Mary "Molly" Abbott) Ford; his brother Caleb Ford II's to Sally Fernald; his sister Jemima "Minor" Ford's to Ebenezer Quint; his first cousinStephen Ford to Lydia Grant.

Research Notes
Birth record is required. Verifcation of exact date of birth and place of birth as well as vital records confirming his parents' names are required.
-Date of birth or 30 or 31 May 1877 is supported by his memoiral stone which indicates he died 20 Nov 1835 at the age of 57 years, 5 months, and 20 days and the book "Old Kittery and Her Families."
-His parents being Robert and Sarah (Abbott) Ford is supported by the fact that he is buried in a small cemetery with about about 13 memorials which include Robert and Sarah Ford as well as Francis, Olive and their children: son William and his wife Belinda; son James and daughter Sarah J Ford; and several grandchildren as well as brother and member's of his family. See "Old Kittery and Her Families" and "The Valley of the Shadow." [3][4]
Records connecting son James to Francis and Olive Ford are required. Currently, only Find A Grave and the book "The Valley of the Shadow" make this connection. It is possible that one sourced was derived from the other.[2]
Maine was part of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts until 1820, when it voted to secede from Massachusetts to become a separate state.[7]
-North Berwick was set off from Berwick in 1831.[8]
-It is not unusual for records for this area to be found under the State of Maine Records. It is also common for death records to reflect a place of North Berwick which would have been still considered Berwick at the time of birth.
