Birth: Nathaniel was born in 1774. He was the son of Robert Ford and Sarah Abbott.

Marriage: 1797 Nathaniel Ford married Comfort Perkins) in Wells, Maine. Full date illegible, but indexed as 26 Aug 1797^[1] Marriage intentions were recorded on 29 Jul 1797 in Berwick where he was residing. She was residing in Wells. Certificate was granted 14 Aug 1797.^[2]

• Possible burial place: Nathaniel's wife Comfort (Perkins) Ford has a FindAGrave memorial page linked to her profile which indicates Nathaniel is buried in Ford Cemetery in Sanford, Maine. The dates of birth and death are slightly off from that which is recorded in the biography and data fields of this profile as of 11 Feb 2023. FindAGrave records them as 1773 - 5 Mar 1814. The cemetery is small reporting about 9 burials and none have a photograph attached. There is a burial reported in the same Ford Cemetery which corresponds with Nathaniel and Comfort's son Nathaniel Ford Jr. (abt.1808-1871) and the son's second wife Roxanna (Hill) Ford. However, Nathanel Jr's profile has FindAGrave as its only source.^[3]
