Birth Record is Required.
Death Record is Required.
Possible burial place: Nathaniel's wife Comfort (Perkins) Ford has a FindAGrave memorial page linked to her profile which indicates Nathaniel is buried in Ford Cemetery in Sanford, Maine. The dates of birth and death are slightly off from that which is recorded in the biography and data fields of this profile as of 11 Feb 2023. FindAGrave records them as 1773 - 5 Mar 1814. The cemetery is small reporting about 9 burials and none have a photograph attached. There is a burial reported in the same Ford Cemetery which corresponds with Nathaniel and Comfort's son Nathaniel Ford Jr. (abt.1808-1871) and the son's second wife Roxanna (Hill) Ford. However, Nathanel Jr's profile has FindAGrave as its only source.[3]
Maine was part of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts until 1820, when it voted to secede from Massachusetts to become a separate state. It is not uncommon for records from prior to 1820 to be recorded in the State of Maine.[4]
