Caroline may have died on September 10, 1851 and is buried in Pecan Hill Cemetery (Jasper County), South Carolina.[4]

After disposing of his Savannah business and property, James William Porcher with his wife Caroline Ford Porcher and their five children, ... , moved to their newly purchased property in Beaufort District and set about developing their dream plantation.[3]It was James William Porcher who provided lands for the Pinckney Colony beginnings.[3]
