Biography

Isaac Ford Sr. was born on 17 Jun 1786 in Watertown, Litchfield, Connecticut as the tenth child ofDaniel Ford and Phebe Camp.[1][2][3] He had nine siblings, namely: Betsey, Phebe, Daniel, Heman, Nancy, Eli, Anne, Temperance, and Aaron.[3] He died on 22 Feb 1846 in St Clair, Illinois, USA. He married Abigail Powers, daughter of John Wesley Powers and Naomi Pennington, sometime before 1813 in Missouri, USA.
Isaac Ford Sr. enlisted for 5 years on 26 Jul 1808 and was attached to 4th U.S. Infantry under Capt. S. Ramney (Co. commander) and Col. Jno P. Boyd (Reg. commander).[4][5] He was discharged 26 July 1813.[4] He purchased a land patent for 120 acres in St Clair, Illinois, USA on 01 Aug 1838.[6]

  4. Andrew Ford was born about 1820 in Missouri, USA. He married Elisabeth Dial on 07 Apr 1846 in St Clair, Illinois, USA.
  5. Isaac Ford Jr. was born about 1822 in Missouri, USA. He died in Dec 1869. He married Mary A. Fitz on 26 Nov 1843 in St Louis, Missouri, USA.
  6. Wright A. Ford was born in Sep 1824 in Illinois, USA. He died in Aug 1904 in Shawnee Mound, Missouri, USA. He married Martha Ann Griffin on 20 Mar 1850 in Perry County, Missouri, USA.
  7. Sarah (Sally) Ford was born about 1824.
  8. Pennington Ford was born about 1828 in Illinois, USA. He married Martha Griffea on 09 Feb 1854 in St. Clair, Illinois, United States.
