Biography

Online birth records list his parents.

He attended Christian Brothers College at Fremantle and he excelled at athletics. After he left school, he worked as a clerk for the importer, D. and J. Fowler for four years.

He enlisted in WWI on 3/4/1916. S/N 6124 with the 16th Battalion. He departed Fremantle 9/8/1916 and disembarked in Plymouth 25/9/1916.

On 12/12/1916 he proceeded to France and was taken on strength on 19/12/1916.

On 6/2/1917 he was wounded in action with a shrapnel wound to the abdomen. He died the following day.

He was buried in Dernancourt Community Cemetery.
