Biography
Christened at Egerton, Kent, on 13th May 1838, a son of Samuel Foreman and his wife Frances (Wood), the third of seven children. James was a farm worker and lived his whole life in Egerton, marrying Sarah Cooper there in 1866. He and his wife were the parents of eleven known children: Charles William 1867 - 1946, Sarah Jane 1869 - 1892, Alice Mary (Coleman) 1870 - 1965, Annie Maria (Smith) 1874 - 1949, Nellie (Tester) 1875 - 1956, Willie 1878 - 1945, Lizzie (Honess) 1881 - 1949, Charlotte (Oliver) 1883 - 1977, Edmund James 1885 - 1959, Herbert John 1887 -1965, Flossie 1890 - 1894.
