Clara Ann (Foreman) Nicol (1852-1937)

Clara Ann Foreman was born in 1852 at Warminster district, Wiltshire, England. She was the daughter of James Foreman and Matilda (Scammell) Foreman. ^[1]

James Foreman and his wife Matilda and their children: Clara, Edmund and Alice, emigrated from England to Queensland Australia in 1866. They arrived in Queensland on 14 October 1866 on board the ship 'Queen of the Colonies'. ^[2]

Daniel Nicol married Clara Anne Foreman 16 July 1884 at Presbyterian Church, Grey-street, South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. ^[3]

NICOL—FOREMAN.—On the 16th of July, at the Presbyterian Church, Grey-street, South Brisbane, by the Rev. J. F. McSwaine, Daniel Nicol, of Kangaroo Point, to Clara Annie, eldest daughter of James Foreman, of North Pine River.
