This is a legendary or fictional person. The profile is being retained on WikiTree because the profile appears in many popular genealogies.

Because persons who never existed cannot have actual parents, siblings, spouses, or children, profiles of legendary persons should not be linked to other profiles on WikiTree. The birth year does not represent an actual birth year for this profile, it is only added because all WT profiles must have a birth or death date.

Biografi

Ytterligare två döttrar namnes i [2], de är;

  • Dufa
  • Blodughadda

Biography

His name can be spelled many different ways; Lä, Le, Hlér, Ägir, Ægir, Æghir. They all represent the giant who i Nordic mythology represent the one who rules over water/sea. He is sometimes said to be the same as Gymer (Gýmir) but that is refuted by other sources.

He is son of Fornjot, brother to Låge(representing fire) and Kåre (representing wind).

He is married to Ran/Rån and they have daughters who all represent some kind of waves in the sea.

The daugters are;

  • Himingläva (Himinglæva)
  • Hefring
  • Udhr (Unnr, Unn)
  • Hrönn/Hrånn
  • Bylgja
  • Båra (Bára)
  • Kolga (Kólga)
  • Dufa
  • Blodughadda

Looking at this I would suggest that the parents are the wrong way around. Hler Fornjotsson presumably not son of In.
