Biography

Neil was born in 1873, March 24 in St-Sauveur, Québec.[1] He was the son of William Forest and Margaret McLauglin. He passed away in 1950.

Le 18 avril 1902 à La Conception, Neil Forest, 29 ans épouse Parmelia Brazeau, 23 ans, fille de Jean-Baptiste et Appoline Legault. Ils auront huit (8) enfants.

English

Around 1920, four years after the death of his father, Neil Forest took over the tobacco farm and hosted his mother, Margaret McLaughlin, until the death of the latter in 1931. He also owns the hotel Neil Forest from 1919 to 1922, located on lot 23 rang West, but he sells the hotel and returns to grow tobacco, activity more in line with his tastes. Parmelia Brazeau, however, develops her talents and takes up a job as a cook at least from 1946 to 1949 at Joseph Lauzon's hotel located on lot 24 of rang Ouest. There are 8 rooms out of 10 rented to employees of the Kennedy company, which builds the road 11. None of Neil's children is interested in agriculture, so he sells his land in April 1943 to Heliodorus Barbe. Neil Forest died on July 29, 1950 and was buried at La Conception. ref: John McLaughlin, En marche avec les pionniers du Nord
