She married James Herd 01 Dec 1824 in Mains and Strathmartine. [2]
Research Notes
Margaret was born in Woolwich which might indicate she was the daughter of a soldier. According to the Chelsea Pensionners list, a Sargeant James Forrester applied for a pension 30 Jul 1817. He was a member of the 91st Regt of Foot and was suffering from the loss of use of his middle finger on the right hand, and ill health from Walcheran Fever. His case was rejected. [3]
