George was born about 1826. He passed away in 1878. Buried in Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Sorel, Quebec.
His father was Henry George Forsyth,[1][2] and father and son were sometimes distinguished in family records by their initials -- "H. G. Forsyth" and "G. G. Forsyth".
George had a son, also named Henry George Forsyth like his grandfather. A newspaper article from the National Archives of Quebec
records that the younger Henry George died in 1886 in Regina, at that time known as the North West Territory, and that he was the only son of G. G. Forsyth.

↑ From context, it appears this was the same Henry George Forsyth (1798-1867) who married Charlotte Langan (1803-1876), daughter of Irish-born Lieut. Patrick Langan. Langan served on the Loyalist side of the American Revolution as an officer in the Kings Royal Regiment of New York (1776-1783) and later settled in Canada. Langan was famous for his 1795 purchase of Wolfe Island (which faces Kingston, Ontario) from Quebec-born brothers Michel and Amable Curotte, who had inherited the island ("Grande Isle" at the time) through family connections with La Salle, who had received it from French king Louis XVI in 1675.
↑ According to the pedigree chart here and in the image accompanying this profile, Henry George Forsyth had a sister Grace who married John M. Fraser. Charlotte Langan's mother was also a Fraser.
