Elizabeth was born about 1770. She is the daughter of William Forsyth and Barbara Patton.

Derry To wife Barbara Foresythe the 100 pounds to be disposed of at her discretion amongst family, & "still to be kept in a tydey cow, graized & foddered yearly, & 1/4 bushel of leot seed sown in every year & 9 bushels of shilling given her every year, & 25 wheel car loads of good turf laid home to her every year, & as many petatoes as she has occasion for etc." with liberty of kitchen fire & all the house till son Robert comes of age. To son Jacob. 5 pounds To dau. Isbele 80 pounds To dau. Elizabeth 100 pounds To sons William & John 150 pounds each To son Robert farm in Artikelly, stock etc, when of age. All residue to wife Barbara unless she remarries, in which case same with her 100 pounds to be divided between sons William, Robert and John. Rev. John Tennent, Roseyards to Robert Tennent, Jamaica 17 Mar 1791. Excerpt from abstract in PRONI catalog: James Crosswell (Criswell) and his sister are now married as are Betty Forsyth and [?Peggy] Edmondston.[3]
Note: Possibly the Forsyth sister that was married was not Betty but Isabella since she is Isabella als McClenahan in Barbara Patton's will of 10 June 1791 and Elizabeth is not mentioned as being married.
