Biography
Sir John Fortescue, 2nd Bt. was baptized in Mursley, Buckinghamshire on 13 Jul 1614. [1]
He married:[1]
- Margaret Arundell d. 1638, daughter of Thomas Arundell, 1st Baron Arundell of Wardour by his 2d wife, Ann, da. of Miles Phillipson.
- Mary Stoner, Bapt. 11 Nov 1622, married in or bef. 1644; daughter of William Stonor of Stonor, Oxdfordshire and Elizabeth Lake, daughter of Sir Thomas Lake, Secretary of State to James I.
- Elizabeth Wintour/Winter d. 1674, second daughter of Sir John Wintour of Lydney, Co. Gloucestershire and Mary, daughter of Lord William Howard.[2]
Sir John was buried on 14 Jun 1683 in Mursley, Buckinghamshire. [1]
