Biography
Hugh Fortescue was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.
He m. 15 Jul 1866 his second cousin Hon Emily Ormsby-Gore CBE, Extra Lady of the Bedchamber to Queen Mary (b. 1860; d. 12 Jul 1929), 2nd dau. of William Richard Ormsby-Gore, 2nd Baron Harlech, by his wife Lady Emily Charlotte Seymour, sister of Francis George Hugh Seymour, 5th Marquess of Hertford, and 3rd dau. of Adm Sir George Francis Seymour GCB GCH, by his wife Georgiana Mary Berkeley, dau. of Adm Hon Sir George Cranfield Berkeley GCB (2nd son of Augustus [Berkeley], 4th Earl of Berkeley), by his wife Emily Charlotte Lennox, 2nd dau. of Lord George Henry Lennox MP (by his wife Lady Louisa Kerr, 1st dau. of William Henry Kerr, 4th Marquess of Lothian), 2nd son of Charles Lennox, 2nd Duke of Richmond; 3s.
