Biography

Ellen Fauteux was born on June 26, 1890 in Sandwich East Township, Essex, Ontario, Canada.^[1]

In 1891, Hellen (1) was living in Sandwich East, Essex North, Ontario. ^[2]

Hellen (19) married Francis Ferry (25) (born on June 9, 1884 in Sandwich East Township; son of Thomas Ferry and Ann (McHugh) Ferry) in 1910.^{[3] [4]} Their children were:

• Charles Ferry (1910–1936)
• Mary Josephine Ferry (1918– )

Hellen died on September 18, 1971 in Maidstone, Essex, aged 81. She was buried in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Maidstone, Essex County, Ontario.^[6]

Obituary

FERRY, Helen (nee Fauteax) - This community was saddened in the passing, after only three days of hospitalization, of Mrs. Frank Ferry (Helen Fauteax), beloved wife of Frank Ferry, who has resided with her husband for 62 years, since her marriage. Deceased was a member of St. Mary's Altar Society. Born June 20th, 1890, in Sandwich East Twp. The Ferry's were bereaved of their only son, Charles, in 1936. Left to mourn her passing is a daughter, Mary (Mrs. Warren Michael), of Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.; four grandchildren, Robert, Patricia, Thomas and Linda Michael; seven great-grandchildren; also a brother, Maurice Fauteux and a sister, Clara (Mrs. Joseph Sauve), both of Windsor. Funeral was held from Janisse Funeral Home on Tuesday morning to St. Mary's Church at 11 o'clock. Requiem Mass by the Pastor, the Rev. Fr. A. P. Marentette. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in the family plot, along side her son. Pallbearers were 5 neighbours, Wilfred McCarthy, Bernard O'Keefe, Douglas Watson, Henry Sauve, Norman Drouillard and a nephew, Gerry Maisano, of Detroit. Published Sep. 24, 1971.
