Lealon "Red" Abston Fortner, 64, of Rogers, Ark., died January 25, 2010, in his home. He was born November 12, 1945, in Holcomb, Miss., the son of John Abston Fortner and Josephine Hollen Morris. Mr. Fortner was a professional boxer in Memphis, Tenn., and was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame. After retiring from boxing he became a boxing promoter. He worked for Overnite-UPS in Memphis for 24 years. Lealon attended Schoolfield Presbyterian Church in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his mother. Lealon is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Black) Fortner of the home; his father, John Fortner of Miss.; his children, Lisa, James and Holly; and three brothers.
