MOORESVILLE, NC-- Karen Foster passed peacefully Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville, NC, surrounded by her loving family. 1

She was born a special needs child on April 10, 1954 in Greenville, SC, to Rev. and Mrs. C. Everett Foster, Jr. Karen was cared for by her loving parents her entire life. 1

Karen was dedicated to her faith in God, and was known to love her church and family of Christian friends. She was a recent member of Lake Norman Baptist Church, Huntersville, NC, and also loved her previous church family at Southside Baptist Church, Spartanburg, SC. 1

She is survived by her parents, Rev. C. Everett and Jean Davis Foster; her brother, Mike Foster and wife Donna and their son Davis of Mooresville, NC. The family would like to express sincere thanks to those who provided special care for Karen, including those at Genesis Eldercare Facility and the doctors and staff at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. 1

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Lake Norman Baptist Church. A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM immediately following visitation with Rev. Bobby Blanton and Rev. Hal Brown officiating. Interment and graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery in Spartanburg, SC. 1

Memorials may be made to Lake Norman Baptist Church Building Fund, 7921 Sam Furr Road, Huntersville, NC 28078, www.lakenormanbaptist. com. 1
