Perley Foster was born at Tewksbury on 20 September 1792 and was the son of John Foster and Anna Beard.[1]
Perley's parentage is confirmed by the Revolutionary War widows' pension file of his mother Anna (Beard) Foster which lists a surviving son Capt. Perley Foster of Nashua, New Hampshire.[2]
