She may have been the daughter of SECOND wife of John Foster, Martha Tompkins Foster.
Is she the Mary Foster who took care of her elder Tompkins grandparents, and was therefore a recipient of part of Ralph Tompkins estate?
In about 1694, Mary moved to the northern part of Woburn with many of her children. On May 7, 1694, William Butters and Samuel Snow Jr. gave bonds in the amount of £150 to the town of Woburn to secure the town against any expense for Mary, John, Sarah, Rachel and Hugh Jones, all formerly of Salem.[citation needed]
Mary was born in March 1650 and Christened on March 24, 1650 in Salem, Massachusetts [1]
Marriage
Mary married Hugh Jones on Dec 31, 1672 in Salem, Massachusetts [2]
