Hello Project! 1. When Deacon Foster was born, Joan Thorp was 64, and she died when he was 4 - she may be Joan Chillingsworth, but not wife of Deacon Foster, or mother of his children
2. Deacon Foster's first wife (and mother to first six children noted) was Mercy Freeman http://www.capecodgravestones.com/brewsterpixweb/foster20br.html This is noted in her profile found at Freeman-1377. Another reference is Freeman Family Genealogy see page 53.
3. Deacon Foster's second wife (mother to Nathaniel and Jerusha) appears correct . 4. His third wife was (Ruth Merrick-8) Sears, widow of Samuel Sears, also noted in her profile (but no children). There are other references, the problem appears to be in Joan's sources.
