Biography

Jesse Loren Foster, 87, died July 27, 1953 at his home in Tucson AZ. The body will arrive in Monticello Friday afternoon; services will be held Saturday at Bauman Funeral Home. Burial will be made in Monticello cemetery.

He was born January 22, 1867 at Monticello, s/o Joseph Green and Carolyn Waller Foster. He was married to Josephine Valentine on Jan 22, 1889. She died September 20, 1926. He was married in 1940 to Jane Mollett. Besides his wife he leaves three daughteres: Mrs. Gladys Winder, Mrs. Florence Merriman, Monticello; and Mrs. Merle Jones, Decatur; one son, Dr. R. N. Foster, Springfield. Also leaves 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
