OBITUARY. - The death occurred on Thursday week of Mrs. Rose Jane Freestone, wife of Mr. A. E. Freestone, licensee of the Rockwood publichouse, Kingsbury Square. Deceased was a native of Weedon, and the daughter of the late Mr. John Makepeace Foster, who was well-known throughout the district. She came to Aylesbury in her younger days, and was married to Mr. Freestone 28 years ago. For the past 25 years they have resided at the Rockwood publichouse. About four years ago Mrs. Freestone underwent a serious operation, and although she made a good recovery she has experienced poor health for the past two years. She leaves a husband, son and daughter. The funeral took place on Monday at the Aylesbury Cemetery, the Vicar (Rev. F. J. Howard) officiating. The chief mourners were:- Mr. A. E. Freestone (husband), Miss Hilda Freestone (daughter), Mr. Jack Freestone (son), Mrs. M. Keen (sister), Mr. Bert Foster (brother), Mrs. Vi. Freestone (daughter-in-alw), Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foster (brother and sister-in-law), Mr. G. Stone and Mr. H. Keen (brother-in-law), Miss Sylvia Turner (niece), and Mr. A Phillips.
