William was born 13 Jun 1813 in Sugar Creek Township, Pennsylvania to Alexander Foster and Elizabeth Harrold. He married Mary Ambrose. They had at least five children. He died Nov 30, 1877 and is buried near his wife in the Cowansville, Pennsylvania cemetery.[1]
