Note: The Foster family first lived in Scotland and then removed to Ireland. They are descendants from a certain "Forrester" whose occupation was "Chief Forrester of the King's forests in Scotland." Their removal occurred early in the seventeenth century under James I of England, James, VI of Scotland (1566-1625).
