Biography

Daisy was the oldest child of William A Foster and Sophia Whitmore. Her parents worked together in their photography studio leaving Daisy at home to raise all her brothers and sisters. Daisy did not attend school past the second grade. Her siblings called her Mama Da. From the family stories the siblings were a pretty unkept bunch of kids which did not bother their mother at all. Daisy was very close to her family. Daisy and Jona lived on the same street growing up. Jona use to stop by and talk to Daisy when she was in the front yard. Daisy was kind and caring person. She helped out anyone that she could. Daisy married Jona Bedford in her parents home in Fresno, California. Daisy was never clothes conscious and was happier in a pair of cloddy shoes or even her husbands clothes. She loved gardening and disliked house keeping. The responsibility of the house fell on her two daughters. Daisy and Jona owned about an acre of land. She plowed it every year and planted vegetables. Her garden was always beautiful. It also had many fruit trees, blackberries and of course flowers. She always had a lot of chickens, geese and sometimes a pig. Daisy was a wonderful cook and made huge dinners on Sunday that everyone in the family enjoyed. Every Sunday Daisy and Jona had company for dinner. Daisy's health started to fail and she went to see Dr. Lucas. He had know her all her life. He gave her a strange prescription... he told her to buy some bologna or lunchmeat and a loaf of bread, no pies. When company came serve that. It worked, no more Sunday dinner company came after that and her health improved. Daisy adored her husband and waited on him hand and foot. Jona was the LOVE of her life. She adored him. They were always very close and loving couple. They were very wonderful parents to their two beautiful daughters.
