Hello. My name is John Freeman son of Orland E Freeman (Freeman-9302). My father's WikiTree profile shows he has three sons; me and Scott, & Scott. I know I had one brother named Scott but I didn't know I had two. My brother's Wiki ID is Freeman-7319. I can't see the one tied to you so I know nothing about it. But could you please delink him from my father. Unless of course, you are trying to do a Minnesota nice thing by telling me my father cheated on my mother. =0)
Hi! I'm new at this and added my mother Hemphill-1817. You had already entered a record so I initiated a merge with your Hemphill-1419.
Is there a way I can manage her account after the merge, since it's my mom? I'm New-2242.
We don't share any dna, maybe because the possible connection is 17 steps? away....
Thanks!
I sent you a check-in message 18 days ago about the US Southern Colonies Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the Southern Colonies project? If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Best wishes,
Mary~ Project Coordinator, Membership, US Southern Colonies

I think William is the best teacher for people like me, that require lots of patience. I learned how to navigate moving my ancestors here and confirming our DNA connections from Gedcom.
Whew, the teaching was awesome and his generosity of time outstanding.
William should be awarded the Super Star, I guess thats awarded differently.
I was unable to give an award badge! Thank you, William!
I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.
If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.
Hello William,
Sorry, I did not mean to imply another merger for there is none. I had just reviewed the Joel Knight profile and since He has the same birthday thought it could happen. Maybe I should stop looking. : > ) Do you mind if I write a biography for Joel King? Lula Tuttle Sinnott
I looked at the Joel Knight profile and I believe it to be a legitimate person, with all the right information. Just that the Joels got mixed up but haven’t figured how yet. I hope a further merger is not pursued. This concerns me. Lula Tuttle Sinnott
Thank you for your participation on Team Virginia in the July 2021 Connect-A-Thon. You helped bring Team Virginia to an amazing 2nd place finish. We could not have done it without you! This year's Thon members added over 74,000k new Profiles to the Global Shared Tree. Team Virginia is always great with you on the team!!
William Foster Jr participated with The Virginia Connectors during the 2021 Connect-a-Thon, and added 35 connections.
You will notice that Amy Lynn Hunt has just joined your project. She joined Wikitree "hoping to learn something new" (I have no idea what). The instruction to new members is "start with your own family," so she has been painstakingly adding her family, which is now on FamilySearch. And not surprisingly got very frustrated. It would be nice if you coud take a look at her profile and her family, and then send her some encouraging words. Familysearch is a lot easier if I all want to do is create a family tree, but Wikitree is a lot friendlier, a lot more interesting, and a lot more fun. --Thank you.
Thank you for your participation in October 2020’s Source-a-thon. Your contributions helped us to clear over 57,000 profiles that needed sourcing. This makes our Shared Tree all that much better.
By the way, a new feature was added to wikitree not too long ago permitting you to reply to comments in place and give notification to the person you are replying too (like I've done here to your message). This helps keep conversations together instead of split across profiles.
Thanks for your participation during our Connect-A-Thon 2020. It is amazing how many more profiles were created and added to our Shared Tree over the weekend. I hope you’ll join us for the Source-a-thon this fall.
Hi! I just replaced Magna Carta Project with Virginia Project as manager of George Wyatt & removed PPP & Magna Carta Project as manager of his brother Edward. Posting here in case you wanted to add Virginia Project as manager of Edward too (or remove it from George).
We had a lot of fun during the 2019 Spring Clean-a-Thon!! I'm excited to co-captain with you for the first ever Connect-a-Thon where we will be adding new profiles to our Global Tree. I know you are just as excited and will be joining me in cheering on Team Virginia!! I'll see you there!
Am a descendant of many earlier West Virginia settlers who came during the time of the creation of the state--late 1700's to 1863. This creates problems because of the way it was create from part of Virginia, then it was broken down into counties overtime. What this did had settlers who lived in the same area but birth/death/married/events as location changed across creation time of the state until 1863. Catherine Hardman-881 is and example. Is there a way we could created a subcategory to help folks in research since the West Virginia records are kept in the final location of the person. Here are sources with the date of county formation after the breakup of the District of West Augusta in 1784 which became Monongalia, Ohio and Youghany which was the parent counties https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_counties_in_West_Virginia.
This week's connection theme is Game Show Hosts.
William is
18 degrees from Chuck Woolery, 17 degrees from Dick Clark, 25 degrees from Richard Dawson, 31 degrees from Cornelia Zulver, 33 degrees from Magnus Härenstam, 33 degrees from Steve Harvey, 18 degrees from Vicki Lawrence, 18 degrees from Allen Ludden, 22 degrees from Michael Strahan, 22 degrees from Alex Trebek, 23 degrees from Ian Turpie and 33 degrees from Léon Zitrone
on our single family tree.
Login to see how you relate to 33 million family members.
Thanks
William Foster is on leave. I will have someone get in touch with you…ok?
