Biography

Emley L Hemperley was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Sulphur Township (south part), Miller County, Arkansas for the June 7, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born December 1869 in Georgia and had been married eleven years. She was the mother of three children of which all were still living. Also included in the household are head Henry M Hemperley, daughter Berthe L Hemperley, daughter Vella C Hemperley and daughter Rockey J Hemperley as seen in an image of the original census.[1]

Emley L Hemperley was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Sulphur, Miller County, Arkansas for the April 28, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1870 in Georgia and had been married twenty-one years. She was the mother of eight children of which three were still living. She was a farm laborer on a home farm as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Henry M Hemperley, daughter Villa Hemperley, daughter Rocksey Hemperley and daughter Lura Humperley.[2]

As listed in the Find A Grave Index,[3] Emily L. Foster Hemperley is buried at Evergreen Baptist Church and Cemetery in Miller County, Arkansas.[4]
