DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Gertruida by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Gertruida:
Fourie-1508 and Fourie-1 appear to represent the same person because: Gertruida Fourie first married James Foord (1802-1864) on 27 Dec 1852. He already had eight children with his first wife, who died in 1846. Gertruida had six children with him during the years 1853 to 1863. After his death in 1864 she married Joseph Helman/Hellman/Helmand (in 1865) and had eight children with him. After her death JJH married Jeanetta Buitendag and had one child with her.
i would suggest that we posepone until we get more proof ?
