Theodocia Ellen Fowler was the daughter of John W. Fowler, of Cataract, Indiana and Martha Jones, of Owen County, Indiana. She was born the 17th of December 1859 in Cloverdale, Indiana and died the 1st of June 1942 at the Indiana State Soldiers Home Hospital in Tippecanoe, Indiana. According to the Indiana State Board of Health Certificate of Death (# 19283), the cause of death is listed as Chronic Valvular Heart Disease, Arteriosclerosis. Theodocia married William St.Clair the 11th of February 1889 in Krebbs, Oklahoma

Wednesday, June 3, 1942

Theodocia Ellen St.Clair, 82 years old, a resident of Terre Haute, died Monday night at Lafayette, Indiana. She is survived by three sons, William of Washington, D.C., Eugene of the United States Navy and Sylvester of Terre Haute, Indiana and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The body was brought to Terre Haute Thursday morning and taken to the J.N. Hickman & Son Funeral Home , where services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery [Terre Haute, Indiana].
