Joy,

Welcome to Wikitree. I wish you luck with your own family genealogy search. However, you need to understand that curiosity does not excuse questions to strangers that are of a highly personal nature. We are not a novel to be read or understood.

Hi Joy,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Add the project tag to your Following list to be kept up to date on any activity that occurs for that project.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

I’m glad you are working on Fore. So many folks put the old pere fore with Woodson, lots of ancestry.com trees wrong. Peter fore, may have had another wife before widow Woodson.

Hi Joy,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!

Hi Everyone, My name is Joy and like most of you I am on here mainly to find my ancestors and research my family tree. Genealogy is still fairly new to me but I find it fascinating.

I started with a DNA test kit from 23&me and since then I have joined quite a few of the online ancestry type groups and also find-a-grave. Thing is, these ancestry sites can get expensive . I know I cant afford it and they dont want to give any relevant info without a chunk of cash. I support free sites AND I support volunteering to help make ancestry sites free . So here I am. How can I help you ?:
