Mary was born in 1821. Mary Fowler ... She passed away in 1880. [1]
Levi was united in marriage to Mary, his wife in Marion County, Ohio. The ceremony was performed by K. Vanfleet, serving as the Justice of the Peace.
The Census was enumerated on 17 Sept 1850 for the Western Dist. Richie County, Virginia. Levi is listed with the occupation of a blacksmith. He is residing with his wife and four of their children. Members of the family are listed as related to Head of Household.
In 1860 when the census for Ritchie County was conducted, Levi is listed as a farmer. He is living with his wife and 5 children. In this census, the person recording the names did not spell the surname correctly. The name should have been "Hammond" and not "Hammon" - I have reflected the accurate spelling. Members are listed as related to Head of Household.
