Lena was born in 1893. She was the daughter of William Fox and Emma Shorts.
She married Marcus "Mark" Gearhart (1889–1951). They had the following children:
William Devore Gearhart (1930–2007).
Harry Ellsworth Gearhart (1931–1982).
She passed away in 1969.

Mrs. Lena Belle Gearhart
ELLWOOD CITY - Mrs. Lena Belle Gearhart, 70, of 231 Grimm St. died at 3 p.m. yesterday at home after an extended illness. She was bom in Renfrew, Butler County, Jan. 4, 1899, to the late William I. and Emma Shorts Fox. She had resided in Ellwood City for 41 years. Her husband, Mark Gearhart, died in 1951. Surviving are two sons, William and Harry, both of Ellwood City; a sister, Mrs. Merle (Bessie) Miller of Butler; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Harry and William Fox. Friends will be received at the P. 0. Contrucci Funeral Home, 123 Fifth St., from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. A service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home by the Rev. Edwin Liddell of Christ Church United Presbyterian. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
