Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1809, the daughter of Thomas Fox (1775-1862) and Mary Mannings Russel (1780-1859).

She married William Foreman on 11 October 1827 in Folkestone, Kent.

Their first son, William Frederick, died before Nov 1841.

They emigrated on the ship "Regulus," leaving Plymouth 1 November 1841, and arrived in Port Phillip Bay on 19 February 1842. [1] The ships manifest shows:-

William, 36, Labourer
Elizabeth, 33, H. Servant
George, 11
Charlotte, 9
Sarah Ann, 8
John, 5
Clara Foreman, 2. [died BEFORE 1850].
Ship: Regulus Plymouth-Port Phillip Colony 1842

Their first 6 children were born in England, and another 4 in Australia; a total of 5 sons and 5 daughters, born from 1828-1850. Some sources show up to 20 children, but this seems unlikely...

The Australian born children were:-

William Frederick (1842-1842)
Charles Alfred (1844- ?)
Mary Jane (1847-1898)
Clara Alice (1850-1854).

Elizabeth passed away in Richmond, Melbourne in 1854, aged 45. [44y 9m 13d]. [2]
