Edward was the son of John Fox and Elizabeth Dunthorn. He was baptised on 13 Nov 1803 at Great Ellingham, Norfolk.[1]
In 1827 he married Mary Cowls at Attleborough, Norfolk.[2]
The 1841 census shows him as a resident of Market St., Attleborough. Present are his wife Mary, son Charles (10) and daughter Jane (5).[3]
The 1851 census shows him to be living in Level St. with wife Mary and daughter Jane (14). He is an agricultural labourer.[4]
The 1861 census tells us little more, but provides the valuable clue that Mary was born in Saham, Norfolk.[5]
According to government records he passed away in the June quarter of 1868 at Wayland, Norfolk.[6][7] He was buried on 5 May 1868 at Attleborough, Norfolk.[8]
