Biography

Caroline (Fuchs) Fox was born on May 28, 1884^[1] in Bohemia, Austria, She was the daughter of Vaclav Fuchs (1863-1917) and Marie Ziska (1864-1913). She was in her parent's home in 1900, at the age of 16, in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.^[2]

She immigrated to the United States at the age of 3, ca 1887.^[2]

She married John Halla (1887-1925) on July 2, 1903 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.^[3] They had 7 children.

They made their home in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois in 1910, where she was taking care of the home and children, Eddie-2, Adeline-6, and George-5, and a boarder, while John was working as a Laborer for the Rail Road.^[4] In 1920, they were in their Chicago Home with their children, George-14, Adeline-13, Edward-11, William-8, Elmer-2, and Richard-1, along with Caroline's brother, John-17, and sister, Emma-16^[5] John was a Millright for a Electric Works Co.

Her Husband, John Passed away at the age of 48, on February 10,1925, in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.^[6] They had been married 22 years.

She died on May 7, 1952, at the age of 67, in Cook County, Illinois, and was buried in the Bohemian National Cemetery' in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.^[1]
