Biography

Christopher Fox married Mary Lago.^[1][2]

He was and Mary had at least two children:

• George, b. 1624^[1][2], who is generally regarded as the founder of the Quaker movement
• John, baptised at Drayton-in-the-Clay (now Fenny Drayton), Leicestershire on 20 December 1629.^[3]

The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography entry for George Fox says that George had three younger siblings, meaning that there were two more children.^[4]

In his Journal George Fox describes his father as a weaver.^[1] He was also a churchwarden, and the family lived at Drayton-in-the-Clay.^[5][2]
