Governess and Senior Mistress; of the Misses Fox School at Montagu House, North End, Huntingdon; she was a Spinster, of Private Means.
She was the fifth and younger of twin daughters of Elizabeth Ashton and George Morris Fox. She was baptised with her sister when a day old on 15 August 1829 at St Mary's Church, Huntingdon.
She was aged 21.
From 1877 she was Senior Mistress of the Misses Fox School at Montagu House, North End, Huntingdon, assisted by her younger sisters, Harriet, Anna and Caroline Fox.
1891 British Census: living at 1 Brampton Road, Huntingdon (St Mary), Retired School Mistress.
1911 British Census: 2 Brampton Road, Huntingdon; Head; Mary Fox (81), Private Means; Anna Fox (71), Sister, Private Means; Emily Ashton Salman (44), Niece, Companion; A Sick Nurse and Domestic Servant.
She never married and died on 11 March 1916 in her 87th year. She was buried in St Mary's Churchyard.

She was the last survivor of the family of George Morris Fox and Elizabeth Ashton, of Huntingdon.
