Biography
Born by 1515 Edmund Foxe was the eldest son of William Foxe of Ludlow [1] and his wife, Jane Downe.
In 1542 Edmund and his brother Charles, who had served in the 1539 Parliament, were both returned as members for Ludlow.[2] While there they took no trouble to make themselves any friends, were sent to The Fleet and only released by claiming privilege of Parliament.[1]
By 1545 he had married Catherine Trentham, daughter of Thomas Trentham of Shrewsbury, and widow of Thomas Hakluyt, who bore him a son and a daughter. [1]
He passed away in 1550.
