John and Mary (Foy) in were married in Goulburn in 1850. According to her obituary Mary was born in Cavan and came to Australia aged 18, so around 1849.
Mary died 3 September 1923, at the home of her daughter Nurse Whelan in Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia and was buried 4 September 1923 St Patricks Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kenmore, New South Wales, Australia.
Two sons, Charles and Thomas, and two daughters, Mrs Irwin and Nurse Whelan survive her.
Note there is an Eliza Foy Born 29 Sep 1871 in Goulburn, New South Wales, Daughter of Charles Foy a potential relation.
